How do I edit/update my “About” page?

When you log into Wordpress, click “Manage” on the horizontal navigation bar. Then click “pages” on the bar under that. You will see your “About” page there and you can click “edit” to change it. You can also add other pages there as well as change the name of the “About” page.

How do I approve all comments without having to moderate?

When you log into Wordpress, click on the “Options” tap on the horizontal navigation bar. Then choose “Discussion” on the lower navigation menu. That is the page where you can force moderation to various degrees, or remove it all together. The default setting for a new blog is to leave the “Comment author must have previously approved comment” box checked. If this box is checked, the first time someone comments on your site, their comment will be held for your approval. If you uncheck that box, you won’t have to approved comments as they come in.

Can I add stuff to the sidebar? (ex: Flickr badge, stat counters, widgets.)

At this moment, during this beta phase, this is not possible. However, there are several plugins for Wordpress that will allow you to edit your sidebar if the theme you are using allows it. Those type of plugins with workable themes will be available soon.

Can I import entries from another blog?

Yes. You can. When you login, click on “Manage” on the horizontal bar. Then click on Import. You can import from other Wordpress blogs, Textpattern, LiveJournal, DotClear, Movable Type, Typepad, Blogware, RSS, Blogger, Blogspot, and Greymatter.

Can I use profanity?

Who would have guessed this would have been one of our top questions asked? Go for it. We will be featuring our favorite entries from around the network on the front page - and we’ll probably choose entries without curse words for those spotlights. However, feel free to use the language you want on your site. At least for now. We reserve the right to change our mind if someone abuses the privilege in a way we haven’t predicted yet.

How do I change the tagline under my blog title to say something other than “Just another HerHangout.com weblog”?

When you log into your blog, you’ll see “Options” along the horizontal navigation bar. Click on that and under the “General” heading you’ll see the Tagline box. Change it as you’d please!
