WOW. What a fantastic weekend we had here with all of you testers at HerHangout.com. We’ve been fielding questions and keeping them cataloged on the FAQ page if you want to check that out. Hopefully we’ve fixed some of the overlap issue some browsers were showing on your entries and it seems that several of you have successfully imported entries from your other blogs into your new one here. We appreciate all of your feedback and still encourage any suggestions or reports of strange behavior to support@herhangout.com. We are using your comments to improve on this network daily!

We have a few things planned in the next weeks for HerHangout.com. First of all: We are testing implementation of a plugin that will allow you to add things to your sidebar of certain themes. It won’t work for all themes at first, but it will work for some. We are also going to be setting up the forums here as soon as we jazz them up a bit so they’ll look as cool as your blogs do. Finally, we are going to be starting the “Featured Entries” section of the main page. We’ll show links to our favorite entries around the network and will feature specific blogs and entries in a “Weekly Spotlight” section. We find useful tidbits, inspirational stories, and funny anecdotes every time we click on the “Recently Updated” section of the main page - so we want to show off the treasures we find.

We look forward to making this a fantastic community, but we need your help to do it. Drop us a line and let us know what your hopes and dreams are for this blog community!

Thank you for those of you testers who have made us aware that on some older versions of Internet Explorer are causing the sidebars to overlap the main entries. We will have that fixed as soon as possible. On the newest versions, however, your sites look lovely!

HerHangout.com hopes to provide bloggers here with a variety of themes to choose from so that any woman can be proud to write on a blog that suits their style. Currently we are offering the following themes ready for use right now.

We are currently in the process of designing more themes and would love suggestions from you as to what others you would like to see. Please send any ideas to support@herhangout.com so that we can make sure to design a theme perfect for you and others like you. Here are some thumbnails of other themes we’re working on currently. If you see one you can’t wait to use on your blog, let us know and we’ll try to finish it first!

One of the things we currently offer and will continue to offer more of is: Nice Looking Themes. One of the biggest complaints from bloggers is the lack of good (and free) designs to choose from for their blogs. We are currently building new themes every day. (See some upcoming themes here.) However, since we are a new network, there still may be a few kinks in the designs you choose to use on your blog. Or maybe there is a bug with how the design works for you. Also let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions for this network. We want this to be more than just a place to get a free and good-looking blog. We want this to be a community. To do that, we’ll need your help.
